“JACK FARM” A tea farm in Kyoto with Thai atmosphere soon to be offering a farm tour & stays. Khun Jack visited us in Jan, so we visit him back in Feb 2024! A brief tea farm invitation by Khun Jack, a Thai tea and rice farm owner in Wazuka, Kyoto. Once you step into his truck, you are no longer in Japan, you will be in his little hideout deep inside the mountains of Wazuka (Monzen) . Khun Jack moved to Japan following his Japanese wife and his lovely energetic kids. He started rice farming till he recently discovered the charm of Japanese tea. He learned tea farming and gradually took over some farmland from a retired tea farmer. Tea farming is a big challenge and especially organic farming. He insist on following his way of co-existing with the nature, learning while taking care of his tea farm. He is learning and improving his tea making skills bit by bit. Taking care of the farms can be hectic by only him and his wife, he welcomes you with his smiles and Jack style of hospitality 😆 He enjoys spending time with his garden and kids, listening to the wind, saying hi to the deers. Far from busy cities, he wants to invite Thai travelers to join him in chillax time in the mountains. You can help with tea harvest, make Kama-iricha (pan fired green tea) or brewing some tea at the garden. Enjoy a breath of fresh air and a half day trip full of laugher and chilling vibes.
